Papdom with mango chutney 60p
Now we all know you can have a good papadom or a
really bad one and here at Daan they are light and crispy so
this is in the ‘good’ section.
Sheek Kebab,
chicken tikka, lamb tikka and onion bhaji, served with salad &
mint sauce £5.15
This starter is great to share with lots of spice
and flavour not to mention the aromas. If you like variety then
choose this dish. The lamb is tender, bhaji’s crisp and Sheek
kebab flavoursome.
Keema rice £2.40
This rice is fluffy and again light, the keema
gives it a kick. Keema Nan is usually Nan filled with spiced
minced lamb and cooked in a tan door oven.
Pulao rice £1.80 Fluffy, separated and warm. Garlic Nan £1.90. If you like garlic, you’ll love this delicious
garlic Nan. Chicken Harr - Aromatic dish cooked in Naga (Indian chilli) £5.95
This dish is a favourite with Daan regulars, but
let me warn you…it’s hot! If you need to clear a cold, have this
to help you. There are many chillies in this dish providing an
instant kick.
Vegetable samosa £2.20
These come in regular Triangle shapes fill of
Spice, deep fat fried and go well as a side or starter.
Ingredients include potatoes and peas. Traditionally you can
have chicken or lamb included.
Chicken korma - mild dish cooked with cream and coconut £5.15
This popular creamy milder curry dish is a
favourite in my house. Korma is normally given to a paler curry
and for those who enjoy a meal without burning their throats and
tongues along the way. The source has an aftertaste that makes
you eat more and more. Remember to dunk those papadoms in too. |
