| Opening an Italian restaurant in Milton Keynes opposite Pizza Express and only a short walk from Zizzi and Strada in The Hub could be seen as a brave move. L’Artista however, is already an established brand. We found out when dining here for the first time that L’Artista offers something that little bit different. |

| La Collina
has long been a favourite on MK Reviews and a group of us paid
the family run restaurant a visit on a Saturday evening. When
you arrive, you could be forgiven for wondering whether there is
a restaurant as it is hidden towards the back... |

| It worries me
sometimes when I mention Sapori to friends and they seem unsure
where this wonderfully authentic Italian restaurant is situated.
So before I share an amazing dining experience with you, it’s
worth pointing out that Sapori is on your left just as you
approach Woburn on the Leighton Road. |

| Zizzi is a large restaurant which
holds many tables - a perfect venue for large bookings. The high
ceilings give you a feeling of freedom and space. The restaurant boasts a large pizza oven central to
the dining area and a view for us guests to watch the chefs
working away in their white hats and stripy tops. |

| If you have
seen adverts in the local press for The George Inn, there’s a
good chance your first instinct will be that this is a “pub
somewhere near Woburn.” If you pay a visit and eat in their
restaurant, you’ll soon realise that this is no ordinary pub.
Nor you will probably feel like you are in a pub.... |

| Never let
it be said that we don’t suffer in our pursuit to bring you the
most up-to-date food reviews. This was
the overriding feeling we had during our meal at Ask last
Saturday. It wasn’t due to the food or the staff (both of which
were very good) but rather this was due to the relentless heat
in the restaurant! |

 |
| Why had I not visited Sapori long before now? That was the
question I was left asking myself after visiting this
establishment for the first time on January 15, 2009. This
absolute gem of a restaurant was taken over by the charming
Livio Bove in 2008 and has since gone from strength to strength. Sapori
is... |

 |
| Red Hot World Buffet give a
whole new meaning the phrase “spoilt for choice.” That is where
the secret of their success lies. This restaurant is not packed
to the rafters simply because of the amount of food on offer –
they are probably unique in offering so much choice but also,
somehow, ensuring the food is.... |

 |
| There are
two pizza express’s in Milton Keynes we decided to book a table
for two at the ‘original’ Express for 8pm (Midsummer Boulevard)
on a Thursday. Midsummer Express has been around for a number of
years; keeping it’s standards high and making regular menu
changes. |

 |
| We
attended a taster day at Strada some time ago and still remember
the plates arriving through the kitchen doors displaying a
variety of fine dishes including risottos, baked flavoursome
pastas and the most appealing cuts of steak. |

|
 |
| There are some
fine restaurants in Milton Keynes but there is a dearth of very
good Italians in the area. The re-opening of Al Tamborista in
Stony Stratford however, goes a long way to filling that void. It
would be difficult to find a better looking establishment than
this. |
