The boys
bond and attempt to learn their new trade with great
enthusiasm and much fun! However, too much temptation
lays in the path of Ash who is swayed by the offer of a
singular career and the promise of ‘ten grand up front’
by blonde bombshell and record executive Annie Borrowman.
As the lads’ friendship and loyalty is tested we are
entertained with lots of high energy dancing and
singing, and intermittent spells of sentiment....click

South Pacific at MK Theatre

Based in
the 1940’s during the Second World War, this love story
delves into the dim realities of racial prejudice
encountered by a nurse and a serviceman during their
posts in the South Pacific.
Nurse Nelly Forbush
(Helena Blackman) falls head over heels for Emile de
Becque (Dave Willets) a French plantation owner, but all
isn’t so rosy when it comes to light that de Becque has

Nutcracker at MK Theatre reviewed

If you
don’t know Bourne’s work, his interpretation of the
nutcracker is somewhat different to the classic story
you might expect.
In true Bourne style,
the opening scene was a delightful introduction to the
waifs and strays of an orphanage – from the shy, to the
goofy, to the boisterous… it’s impossible not to build
an instant fondness for this mixed bag of wonderfully
animated characters....click

Matthew Bourne's The Car Man

From
beginning to end the audience were transfixed as the
story line unfolded. This adaptation is set around a
garage in the 1950’s. Lez Brotherston’s set and costume
designs are of the highest quality, with scene changes
being swift and efficiently executed.
Chris Davey’s lighting
design adds dramatic affect and ambience to the scenes;
for example the scene revolving around the heat in the
middle of the day, made you feel and experience that
oppressive, heavy feeling of a hot....click
