The Swan at Salford celebrates its 5th
birthday in style
5th
February 2010: Last night residents and regulars, local business
owners and valued suppliers all joined the team at The Swan in
Salford, Milton Keynes to celebrate its 5th birthday in style.
The evening kicked off with a
few words from the owner, Andrew Coath, who thanked both local
suppliers and regulars for their commitment and support over the
last five years. The party then got into full swing with fine
food and flowing drinks on tap until the early hours.
“We were delighted with the turn
out last night which was testament to the strong relationships
we have with quality local suppliers, our regulars and the wider
business community alike – a good time was had by all,” comments
Christina Boyle, new general manager at The Swan. “We are now
looking forward to the next five years and beyond! And are
already busy planning some great events for the coming months.”
It was back in February, 2005
that The Swan opened its doors for the first time and over a
million happy customers later it has now well and truly
established itself as a favourite place for locals to eat, drink
and relax. The Swan has always strived to become the hub of its
community and over the years many have enjoyed taking part in
some of its fantastic events such as gourmet cookery evenings,
'stiletto lunches' (local ladies in business networking lunches)
and the regular steak nights. The pub's team is also proud of
the fact that it has been in a position to give something back
by raising over £150,000 for local charities through hosting
charity balls, dress auctions and MacMillan coffee mornings.
The Swan is open every day
from 10.30am until midnight, and serves hot food from its
seasonal menu throughout the day. For more information about
